Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 24, 2026
MindBloom ("we", "us", or "our") provides a mobile application (the "App") that offers daily cognitive exercises for older adults and people living with memory loss. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App you agree to the practices described here.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We collect only what is needed to run the App and remember your progress.
Information we collect
When you set up and use the App, we may collect:
- Profile details — first and last name, date of birth, and gender. These create the user's profile and personalize the experience.
- Optional contact details — email address and phone number, only if you choose to provide them. These fields can be skipped.
- Preferences — your preferred daily reminder time and your device's time zone, used to schedule reminders.
- Activity data — your progress through the daily exercises and session history, so we can track streaks and show the right activity each day.
- Device information — a randomly generated device identifier, your platform (iOS or Android), and a push-notification token used to send reminders.
- Subscription status — whether you have an active subscription, as reported by the App Store or Google Play. Payment card details are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see or store them.
How we use information
- To create and maintain the user's profile and remember progress across days.
- To send optional daily reminders at the time you choose.
- To recognize a returning user during setup so details are not re-entered.
- To operate, maintain, and improve the App.
- To manage subscription access and respond to support requests.
How information is stored and protected
Information is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on managed cloud infrastructure provided by Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the United States. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Third-party services
The App relies on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Amazon Web Services — application hosting and database storage.
- Expo / EAS — delivery of push notifications.
- Apple App Store and Google Play — app distribution and subscription billing.
These providers process information under their own privacy policies.
Who uses the App
MindBloom is intended for adults. It is often set up by a family member or caregiver on behalf of the person who will use it. The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Data retention and deletion
We keep profile and activity information for as long as the profile is active. You may request that we delete a profile and its associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will delete the data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law.
Your choices
- You may skip the optional email and phone fields during setup.
- You can turn reminders off in your device's notification settings.
- You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be reflected here on this page.
